Lead actor Jay Malack had only ever acted in Hollywood
projects, yet his perceptive take on Baldwin’s inner-conflicts and
complexities and awesome co-star Inga Wilson’s felt conveyance of
the rock hard determination in Kitty made achieving the subtle
interplay of tension and sexual attraction work.

Demonstrating their ease in trasitioning between drama and
comedy, Second City alums Rico Bruce Wade, Dave Davies and
Jeff Fritz were attached to play, respectively, the ironic hard nose
McNally; the up-tight traditionalist, and therefore heavily
disrespected task master Bergen; the drug-abusing detached prick
Brady. And former newswoman and professional model and actress
Leslie Slaughter created the family worker, Ms. Kellogg, the soul
of the team in some ways, to counterbalance so much of the
dysfunction in the Commonwealth campus’s wry disregard with mature
compassion and unembarrassed intensity.
